E-commerce operations and accessibility remediation for an ethical beauty brand.
Project Overview
Alaffia is a fair-trade beauty and wellness brand with a Shopify storefront. As a freelance contractor embedded with their marketing team, I own the technical execution layer — the work that sits between what the team wants to do and what the site actually does.
The Problem
Marketing teams move fast. Campaigns need to go live, apps need to be configured, promotions need to work exactly right on launch day. Without someone who can operate inside the platform and understand both the technical and marketing sides, things break, launches slip, and the team loses time they don't have.
What I Did
- Configure and manage third-party Shopify apps including Klaviyo, Yotpo, Clarity, Bundle, and Amplify to support campaign and retention goals
- Build collections, set up promotional discount logic, and manage AOV strategies for sales events
- Coordinate with design and marketing to make sure storefront execution matches campaign creative and timelines
- Conducted independent accessibility scans using axe-core and WAVE, and implemented fixes flagged by AudioEye's audit across the storefront, with remediation verified and signed off by AudioEye
Outcome
Ongoing engagement. Campaigns launch on time, the platform runs cleanly, and the team has a reliable technical operator who doesn't need hand-holding.
